All of us want to be happy and healthy, it’s human nature. But without knowing what self-care really looks like, how can we expect to keep ourselves nourished, energised and most importantly feeling good?

What self-care is:

Time taken to do things that help you live well - improving your health (physical and mental) and sense of wellbeing.

A lifestyle approach: a consistent self-nourishment and replenishment of energy & vitality.

What self-care is not:

a hashtag

the lighting of a single expensive candle

So, what is ‘wellbeing?’

Wellbeing (also called wellness, prosperity or quality of life) refers to what is intrinsically valuable to someone.

It describes what is ultimately good for a person (physically, mentally, emotionally) or what is in the self-interest of this person. This makes wellbeing unique to all of us! We're not all made well by the same things...

Without adequate self-care, our busy modern-day lives can quickly leave you feeling heavy, slow and sluggish, stressed, overwhelmed and out of balance.

But when we harness self-care, it’s much easier to take daily life in your stride; leaving you feeling aligned and purposeful, easeful and balanced, empowered and productive.
