IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: HAPPIER FESTIVAL 2026
I’m so unbelievably sorry to share, I’ve made the heartbreaking decision to cancel Happier Festival 2026.
With just 31 days to go until Happier 2026, I received an email from our host venue, the Shrewsbury Flaxmill Maltings, informing us that the Dye House had to close with immediate effect due to health and safety concerns. The Dye House is our main exhibition hall, where over 40 of our exhibitors and many of our interactive experiences were due to take place.
I can’t tell you just how much energy, love and purpose has been poured into Happier Festival 2026. We had BIG plans and worked so hard to grow this into an even more special event for you this year.
We collectively spent more than 100 hours trying to resolve issues with our intended venue, as well as exploring other potential venues that could host us on such short notice, but sadly we couldn't find a solution on such a short timeline that would honour the festivals ethos, energy and promised experience.
From the very beginning, Happier Festival has been about creating a unique, joyful space for you to connect with what lights you up, and discover the incredible people, practices and communities right on your doorstep that are here to help you build (and share together) a happier life. I've always been uncompromising about it being a celebration of health, happiness, and the very best that our incredible county has to offer!
Although Happier Festival 2026 won’t be going ahead (and for that, I am truly so sorry), I still believe that the 1st of August can be something truly special for us all...
